ADVANCED CRANE CONTROL (ACC)

Allows the crane to pick extra capacity at various boom angles, without increasing the overall foot-lb rating of the crane.
Adds a layer of stability protection because the truck level is being monitored.

4.5° to 6.5° - Tilt warning – automatically limits crane speeds to 50%
>6.5° - Tilt alarm – stops rotation, extend out, winch up, and boom up/down
Standard A.C.C. over-ride activated w/ momentary horn button
Immediately goes back to A4 Tilt warning
Comes out of A4 Tilt warning when button is released
Boom up pressure adder to overcome cylinder friction
Boom down pressure adder still incorporated to overcome the lift cylinder counterbalance valve

Crane Operator Certification:

29 CFR Subpart CC 1926:1400 originally required certified operators for all cranes used in construction operating cranes over 2,000#, starting November 10, 2014.
The date was extended out to November 10, 2017

NCCCO (National Commission for Certified Crane Operators):

Worked on the Service Truck Work Group committee to develop the written and practical exams (TSS-ST)

NTEA – Telescopic Service Crane Manufacturer's Group

Similar to the Digger/Derrick group
Introduction of group started for common voice to OSHA, implement industry standards, develop quarterly statistics for Service Crane Shipments, unified voice to OEM's, industry common stability charts, etc.
